Otherworld Ink

I’ve done some rearranging to try to make this site more reader-friendly, including the addition of the “Short Stories” page where all of my fiction can be easily accessed in any order.

My original plan was to use this site as a hub from which visitors could jump off to various social media sites where my work was hosted, such as Tumblr or Wattpad. However, I’ve realized that this doesn’t actually provide the best reading experience.

Tumblr is alright for curation, but tends to fail at providing easy access multiple posts without a lot of scrolling. Wattpad, meanwhile, has an interface that one might generously describe as “sub-optimal”. And Twitter, of course, is designed for short text and rapid scrolling. (Also, I just don’t like using Twitter.)

Thus, tweaking my own site to make it a better place to come and read seemed like the best option.

I also plan on making some aesthetic changes to the site in the near future to make it less boring, but I’ve at least made it more functional for now.
